Reprints from my weekly “Transaction Highlights” newspaper column on sales data reprinted from the East Hampton and Southampton Press newspapers with publication dates.

Transfers are typically reported about 30 days after they occur, due to delays in the Suffolk County recording system. Because it generally takes about 60 days from offer and acceptance until closing, these transfers often reflect deals made approximately 90 days before reporting.

On occasion I may also describe a notable sale prior to its inclusion in my weekly column.
